The panels came new without glue, just small screws along with an alignment dowel that held each corner together. The hinges were removed and each panel was pulled apart at the corners so that they could be glued back together and have new larger wood screws installed. As you can see there are three panels joined together by hinges. It required a complete disassemble in order to make repairs. There was a loud crash and the gate was laid flat with many of its pieces scattered about. This one got crippled the other day by the cat who misjudged the air time he needed to clear the top. I even got him a small cat house so he would have a slightly warmer place to curl up but he hasn’t been too receptive yet. Several of us here at work keep a close eye out for him around the clock. Kitty (work cat) is getting bigger and we are feeding him kitten food which should get him fattened up a bit before the big chill, which starts tonight.
